Wintersday Racism? Un-Racists want it changed.
Wintersday is SUPPOSED to be an all-religion holdiay. Not Chritstmas, not Chanukah, not Kwanza. But the title doesn't make it that. As you see the decorations, you see reindeer, CHRISTMAS trees, RUDOLPH faces on Kamadan Statues, and giant TREE ORNAMENTS. Note that there is not one Menorah or Kwanza candle holder thingy (sorry if this is disrespectful, I forgot the name.) I am a Christian and do believe in Christmas, but everyone doesn't. My best friend (who also plays Guild Wars) was discussing with me how he feels offended by there being no Jewish decorations, for he is a Jewish citizen. There are no dreidels or menorahs...We think that there should be more of other religion decorations too. All Christmas is pretty racist. We think there should be a dash of every Winter holiday. My friend and I think ANet should change this.**SORRY IF I MISSPELLED ANYTHING, I DO NOT MEAN TO OFFEND YOU, I JUST CAN'T SPELL SOME STUFF GOOD**
"And in an unrelated story"
Also, the people in the Southern Hemisphere are probably going "What the hell, why is it snowing? Christmas is in SUMMER, not Winter. ANet are a bunch of clueless suckers." Ya, they probably think your whack.
Please tell me if you agree, we might get ANet to actually stop this. That is my hope.

Tell me this is a joke....
Christmas in and of itself is a celebration of pagan origin. Guild Wars is a pagan world. There was no temple of solomon in GW history to celebrate with hannukah. There is no racism in GW history, thus no need for holidays promoting one race.. Christmas is about bieng thankful, originally and now. Be thankful for what you have in the spirit of what anet is trying to do and be glad that you dont have to see ascalon as an ash covered imitation of Carthage every day.

Being of a different faith, I hear you. However, there's quite a minority (if that even makes sense) and there are very few complaints about the decorations. I was really hoping there'd actually be a different kind of holiday being celebrated in Elona, but that's not the case. It too is celebrating Wintersday.
P.S: I wouldn't call it Racism, though. I don't see how this has to do with race, rather it relates to faith.

On behalf of the Jewish community- GET OVER IT.
Like, Christmas trees and decorations and ginger bread things are just associated with the holidays. Most people celebrate Christmas (in the western world, where this game is mostly played), and not Chanukah or Kwanza or what ever.
So please, stop trying to stick up for the little religions and just let it be. They are fine.
FYI- Christianity and the Bible is mostly where the US law system is based on. All this trying to seperate religion from social customs really just doesn't work.
That probobly didn't help, but it's the way it is.

Something like this was posted a few days ago in Riverside.
It's an in-game event called Wintersday. It's fun. That's all.
No need to get all upset about it.

"Wintersday is SUPPOSED to be an all-religion holdiay."
Since when? Wintersday in guild wars is to celebrate the new year if you ask me since its finale is on the 1st of January.
Also, reindeer and santa and trees are not religous symbols to me.
Last I checked I didnt see and Crosses in Lions Arch.
"I am a Christian and do believe in Christmas, but everyone doesn't."
I dont see how Christianity has anything to do with rudolf or tree ornaments.

If you, and others like you, were really sorry, and I mean if you actually gave a damn if something had been posted before, you wouldn't post it in the first place. You're wasting my time, you're wasting your time, and your wasting the time of (potentially) hundreds of readers.
Don't say sorry. Use the search, for the love of Kris Kringle.
